Terry Gamer, CEO Womego
Terry, an entrepreneurial publisher, was President of Gamer Publishing Group that published Pennysavers, Business Newspapers and Homes magazines in New England. In October, 1981, she published the first women-focused local publication in the country, Hartford Woman, which was shortly followed by Fairfield County Woman. The company was acquired by Capital Cities/ABC in 1987. After a few years rest, she was ready to publish again with The HoleView, a company that produced photographic, navigational Yardage Books for golf courses throughout the world. Noticing the effect that golf courses had on their environment, she worked with Audubon International to create Environmental Yardage Books for Certified Audubon International Sanctuary Golf Courses. The business was acquired by Best Approach in 2007. Today, Terry is re-embracing her publishing roots and uniting hundreds of women-focused publications under the Womego Banner.
Lori Duke, President
Lori Duke works to increase the impact of published offline and online content by helping small publishers to flourish. She brings to this passion a BA degree in Sociology and Women Studies, years as Publisher of Woman Magazine which was later acquired by Thomson News Corp where she directed a business unit. Lori is an expert in publication media sales and campaigns. In 2002, she created Women's Media Group -A One-Stop Media Shop- which focused on 500 women focused publications reaching 36 million offline readers. By bringing these publications together, in a national database, Women's Media Group, became the go to agency for national advertisers and agencies looking to bridge the gap between local women's communities and national brands.
Alan Chickinsky, CTO
Alan has 40 years experience in the computer industry working for Burroughs, Univac, GTE and Northrop Grumman. He also taught Graduate courses at Northeastern University, George Washington University and University of Lowell. Alan has published papers on Computer Communication, User Interfaces, and Database Design. He holds a BSEE from New Mexico State University and an MSEE from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Womego, Alan was a chief scientist for Northrop Grumman Information Systems.
Ron Weiner, CFO
Ron is president and co-chairman of Perelson Weiner, a full Certified Public Accounting and consulting firm, which is a member of both the SEC and Private Company Practice Sections of the AICPA. He has served as a Director of both public and privately traded companies and in executive decision-making capacity on the Boards of Major not-for-profits, educational institutions and professional organizations. He earned a BSBA from Babson College and attended both New York University Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School. He has also been a Wexner Fellow.
Evan Kraus, Senior Vice President of Business Development
Evan has nearly 20 years of experience in online communication and has specialized in helping companies optimize their impact online. He started the online communication practice at APCO Worldwide, a leading global communications consultancy, which provides strategic counsel to many of the world’s largest businesses. Prior to this, Evan worked at Booz-Allen & Hamilton, a leading management consultancy.
Gregory Shimer, Social Media & Affiliate Marketing Director
Greg has nearly 16 years of experience with online and social marketing. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as WebMD and various eCommerce merchants throughout the years. He has been active on the web since the early 1990s building and marketing online ventures. He brings a deep well of knowledge of the latest social media techniques and programs and an active membership within the Affiliate Marketing Community. Prior to joining Womego he was the Marketing Director of RugSale.com and their various ecommerce sites.
