Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2009
Introduction. Womego, LLC, its subsidiaries, and affiliates (collectively, its Affiliates) realize the importance of feeling safe online and are fully committed to ensuring that your privacy is respected and protected. The Privacy Policy below outlines the type of information we collect and receive from you while you are logged-on to or visiting the Womego Website, as well as ways in which we process and, sometimes, share such information and how you can correct or change such information. The Womego Website is defined as the website on the Word Wide Web owned and/or operated by Womego, LLC and its Affiliates.
PLEASE REVIEW THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND THE TERMS OF SERVICE FOR THE WOMEGO WEBSITE CAREFULLY. YOUR USE OF THE WOMEGO WEBSITE SIGNIFIES YOUR AGREEMENT TO SUCH PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF SERVICE.
1.1. How Womego Collects Information.
1.1.1. Personal Data you provide to Womego. Personally Identifiable Information is any information that can be used to identify a specific individual such as your name, email address, home address, and phone number. Womego asks you to provide Personally Identifiable Information in various places throughout the Womego Website. Some of these areas where the collection of such information takes place are listed below:
1.1.1.1. User registration. In order to use many of Womego's features, tools and services, we ask you to register to become a user. During this user registration process, we will ask you for Personally Identifiable Information. In addition, you may choose to provide Womego with additional information such as marital status, household income, education and employment status.
2.1.1.2. Email newsletters. Womego may offer electronic newsletters on a variety of topics. If you subscribe to any of these newsletters, you will be required to provide a valid email address as well as any other information that is relevant to the delivery of the newsletter (e.g., certain Astrology.com newsletters require you to provide your birthday).
3.1.1.3. Surveys and polls. Womego may offer online surveys and questionnaires that ask users for opinions on various issues and/or other information. Occasionally, we may request demographic information (like zip code, age or gender) when you answer a survey. Such surveys are completely voluntary.
2.1.2. Information gathered by Womego and its third party service providers. When you visit the Womego Website and interact with the services and tools that reside there, Womego and third parties with whom Womego has contracted to provide services to Womego may collect information on your actions. This type of information is generally collected from two sources. One is from the server log files that record your IP address, and the other is from cookies.
1.1.2.1. IP address. Your IP address is a number that is assigned by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to your computer to identify its location. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. We also sometimes use IP addresses to communicate with users and subscribers and possibly even ban those users who are not complying with our Terms of Service.
2.1.2.2. Cookies. The Womego Website uses a feature of your browser to set a cookie on your computer. Cookies are small packets of information that a website's computer stores on your computer. The Womego Website can then read the cookies whenever you visit the Womego websites. We use cookies to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our Website, to deliver content specific to your interests, to track the pages you've visited and to make sure you don't see the same ads repeatedly. These cookies allow us to use the information we collect to customize your Womego experience so that your visit to Womego is as relevant and as valuable to you as possible.
You may modify your browser preference to provide you with choices relating to cookies. You have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject cookies you may be unable to use those Womego services that require registration in order to participate or will have to sign in each time you visit the Womego Website.
Our advertising is currently served by third party advertising companies that deliver a cookie to you so the ads you see can be tracked and ensure that you are not shown the same ad too many times. Since the third party advertising company only tags your computer with a number, they know nothing about who you are. Womego does not provide these third party advertising companies with any Personally Identifiable Information. However, these companies may use non-personally identifiable information about your visits to the Womego Website and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative's website at: http://www.networkadvertising.org.
1.2. How Womego uses information it collects. Womego uses the information you provide for several purposes, such as to communicate with you and to give you a better experience when visiting the Womego Website by personalizing tools, content, services and email messages. Womego also uses this information to build new services and develop offers that Womego believes are more relevant and valuable to you.
