Sammy Roberts
Miss Rodeo Florida

If you wonder who represents Osceola County to the state, as well as the nation, look no further than Sammy Roberts, the current Miss Rodeo Florida. A 22-year-old native of Kissimmee, Roberts loves the rich history and life in Osceola County. Her love for the rodeo and way of life began at a young age as she listened to her grandfather’s stories about competitive riding.

Having also been the 48th Miss Silver Spurs in 2008, Roberts points out that pageants are literally job interviews, because once you win, there are a variety of important responsibilities you shoulder. She was excited to embrace these responsibilities fully because she got to travel, talk to students about rodeo and the western way of life, and to become a role model for others. Roberts says, “As I have traveled across the state as a competitor and an ambassador for rodeo, I have been inspired by good people who are passionate about our heritage and our sport.”

Roberts is also passionate about volunteering. She states. “I truly feel it changes people’s lives so much. It opens up your mind, heart and horizons to so many things.” Roberts’ actions speak as loudly as her words, as she works with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Central Florida, the Education Foundation, and the Good Neighbor Fund. She currently attends Valencia College in pursuit of a degree in Public Relations and Communications, a perfect fit for her passion of connecting and inspiring those around her.
