How a Woman Thinketh, So Shall She Be….

Northwest Woman Magazine (WA) October 2010

It has been said that, "Money may not be the most important thing, but it's way up there with oxygen." The fastest and easiest way to get the things you want as quickly as possible is almost always to have enough money to be able to buy them, whatever they cost. For this reason, the desire to acquire money, quickly and easily, and as much as possible, is a major motivator of human behavior. But it is not usually money that people really want.

Sometimes I will ask my clients why they want to acquire a lot of money. After thinking about their answer for a couple of minutes, they finally conclude that what they want more than anything else is "freedom." In reality, we never really feel certain about money. The thought of money leaves us feeling uncomfortable at the best and full of fear at the worst. What the real problem is that we never really take responsibility for creating our own "economy" (as Bob Proctor puts it). We just don’t think we can! When you realize that all creation begins with our thoughts, your entire world begins to change. You begin to have hope. When hope is present, you begin to see options. Money becomes a pleasant subject. It becomes a game and you learn the rules of not only how to play but how to play to WIN.

So let’s get to the point. Why is what you put into your subconscious mind so important? Let me be so bold as to tell you that your conditioned mind controls your material wealth. This area of what you "suggest" to your subconscious mind, is the mental instrument that keeps you on course (or off course), and helps determine if the objectives or goals you have established are the right ones for you. It is important that you move into action immediately to begin steering you in the ways that will ultimately result in achieving those things you want the most. We are talking about consciously, purposefully, putting positive money messages into your mind. Negative images have been crowding your mind since your first week on this planet. Red slashes on school work drew your entire conscious attention, sometimes making you brood incessantly. Negative experiences have shifted your energy completely at times. We need to start playing new tapes – please ignore those well-meaning people in your life who tell you to stick to the status-quo, even if that’s making you miserable!

What is needed is a new paradigm. Paradigms control virtually every move you make. What you believe about yourself and what you can accomplish is YOUR truth. You approach and react to the world around you based on how you interpret life. This realization should have a profound impact – consider how you look at money, what are your beliefs around money, do you think money is "good" or "bad"? Or maybe – it’s just not gonna happen for you? People resist being changed – it’s just a bit uncomfortable! You have been conditioned to accept many, many limitations. To change results, adjust your thoughts, feelings and actions – keep it simple! We are scratching the surface here on this subject – please take the time to learn how your inner thought energy affects your energy and your emotions, which alters your vibrational thoughts, which affects your actions which ultimately affects your results. Change "I don’t know how" to "How can I"? Change "It won’t work!" to "How will it work?" Change "They can do it, but not me" to "How CAN I do this?"

Begin each day with a motivational thought – there are lots of sources, find them! Begin each work day with a thought or idea of what to focus on that day, what is THE most important thing for you to do today to help you reach your financial goals? Ask yourself every day – how can I be of more value? How can my services be worth more? Get into action! Purposefully watch your thoughts and intelligently act on those courses of action which will lead you into a better tomorrow. As Franklin D. Roosevelt said,
"When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!"
